I was just stuck on the fact of it was a code violation if i put the new meter base in the recessed vinyl siding.

The first step in this residing project is to remove the existing clapboard including a section near an electrical weather head. Removing the siding will leave a gap between the meter and the wall that means the pvc conduit will have to be bent in order to get the meter box flush with the original wall. The more i look at it the more i want to put new siding.
