Ba hons i have always loved animals especially dogs. It was whilst there that i began to exhibit at various galleries so joined a friend at her studio in northampton and started my business in 1999. Skilfully manipulating both extruded and slab forms she is able to visualise and create imaginative animal studies capturing their characters with a sense of fun. They both have a passion for ceramics which they enjoy sharing at their pop up pottery sessions at newton village hall.

After completing my bachelors degree at wolverhampton in ceramics i became an artist in residence at edgbaston high school in birmingham. My childhood dream was to sculpt people s dogs for them and now i m lucky enough to do just that.

Ceramics sculpture louise eardley and virginia dowe edwards met at wolverhampton university over 20 years ago whilst completing their ceramic degrees have been friends ever since.
